Ever say, “I quit!” “I give up!” “I’m tossing in the towel!” Me too

Ever feel like quitting, giving up, or tossing in the towel!

This afternoons run was extremely tough mentally and physically.

Why? To be completely open and honest their are several reasons.

1) Dealing with minor depression due to major career shift and sleepless nights.

2) Continued medical issues with my wife. 3 years of dealing with PTSD and great improvements now to hit another wall of stomach issues and additional bills!

3) the future, is a place that I can not control but sometimes I get suck or expertise temporary emotional / mental paralysis as I desire to provide for all three of my children’s college education but don’t see how that’s going to be possible!

As with the majority of my exorcise times: running, cycling, swimming or doing P90x I press through mental barriers.

Why do I – why do we all have to press through these barriers?

Bottom line thought: because we are human and don’t love in a masquerading facade of media but within the confines of reality.

It’s here that I need to remember mental hurtles are not a bad thing by and means. A hurtle is just that – a hurtle! Something in which you can jump over, crawl under, or go around.

To be frank: it doesn’t matter how you get around the hurtles or detours before you! All that truly matters that you get around them.

As I finished my run I looked down at my watch and realized I run at an 8.13 pace – which shocked as I was 17second of pace from setting a new personal record.

So here to the mental, physical, and emotional challenges we encounter! May we no longer feel the need to pretend we don’t face them. May we take them for what they are and find ways around them! Here’s to the exciting and challenging journey of life – it’s truly a grand ride!
